It's late on Sunday night and I'm looking forward to the coming week. I jump out of bed and hit the ground running on Mondays, but I'm thinking that is a good sign. I must be excited to work! Work? What? Is that what this is called?
I just finished a beautiful little pin up model inspired by a vintage coca cola ad. She found a new home quickly but has been a favorite of many people on Facebook and Instagram. I think I will create more like her, inspired by vintage pin ups. Honestly...I like the "modest" pin ups of the coca cola ads so that is probably as racy as you'll see my dolls! :) This particular little beauty had shiny black strappy heels made of polymer clay onto her porcelain feet. She was such a joy to make!
After rewriting and reworking my "Max" pattern, I've finally released it into my Etsy shop. I really wanted it perfect or close to it. I think it turned out well, but that's up to you my sweet customers and what you think of it! Currently it is only available as a digital download, but I will be offering paper form soon. I'm almost finished with a second pattern, which is a reworking of a kit I had made previously. That one is titled "Laura" and is a young girl, teen pattern for a calico style dress with a pinafore. My next pattern that I have planned will be a simple Victorian bustle dress for a lady doll. If you have any suggestions for new patterns, please let me know via the "contact" page of this website. I'd love to hear any new ideas that you would like me to create in patterns.
So I wish everyone a happy week and hopefully you'll get to enjoy seeing the eclipse on monday. I'm actually living in the perfect place to see it but we waited too long to get glasses and they are sold out everywhere here. Ah well, I might just have to break out my Love's welding glasses....
