This is registration for "Isabel, A Dollmaking Experience" and includes the kit to make the doll and the live Zoom class in October of 2026.
What is an "experience"?
-an interactive tour of my dollmaking process. You'll get updates and glimpses into the steps of making a doll and kit, from the initial sculpt, to the final design and assembly of the kit. This will all culminate in a live class to make the doll together.
-we'll have our own private chat group to ask questions and give suggestions
-a collaboration to craft "Isabel's" story
-a private webpage to take polls and view process video updates
You will be in the loop on the whole process of creating an heirloom quality figure, from start to finish and when you've created her, you can know that "Isabel" has a part of you in her!
Included in the kit:
-a porcelain and china painted doll (you pick her skin tone and eye color), assembled with shoes and the option for a stand.
-all of the fabric and trims to make the costume
-the paper pattern for the costume along with instructions
-wigging fiber (you choose the color) and instructions
-access to the collection of videos made for each module of the class.
When?
-October 24, 31 and November, 7, 14, and 21, 2026 @9am (PDT) for 2 hours each session.
(The fine print)
You will follow my journey of creating a doll from start to finish. The experience itself will be for you to be engaged in my process, but will not cover actual instruction in sculpting, moldmaking, kiln work or pattern making, as I am not currently offering end -to-end lessons yet. (but you can ask questions!!)
Although the experience is to invite you on my journey, the live class itself will be focused on the costuming, wigging and accessories for this particular doll. Participant's input is considered for the sculpting, pattern process, and colors selection, but ultimately the artist, Lilli, will be finalizing the design.
